Aiming and crawling around work the same as ever, but firing weapons now requires a bit of gesturing. Power level for the impact frags and some other weapons is controlled by raising the controller and flicking your wrist. It sounds imprecise, but holding down the B button will predict the flight path of projectiles without firing until you release the button (try for when the dotted line connects to the lack of a nose on the face of a rival worm). After a few suicidal misfires, we think we were getting the hang of it. Still, rather than risk it, we just launched a guided frag. As part of the attempt to create a more casual experience, this frag will follow your on-screen pointer anywhere you point it, which made it easy to steer right into the last enemy bugger from the other side of the map.
A Space Oddity is due out Mar 11. Click here to look at more pictures of bugs.
