Wing Island

Wing Island takes flight

Makes use of new-fangled technology

Out now in Japan, this plane-based remote-waver aims to fill the void until Nintendo finally releases a proper Pilotwings (soon, fingers crossed). It’s not just about aerobatics and formation flying - among other things you’ve got to bomb rocky outcrops, ferret out cows and attack battleships. It looks basic, but it controls wonderfully. Promising.

Above: Sadly no hang gliders or rocket belts, but we’re happy enough with planes for now
