Power to the truth! Microsoft manga to capture the hearts of Japan

Jumping up

With titles like Naruto, Dragon Ball Z and Rurouni Kenshin, Shonen Jump is the most popular comic magazine in the US. But it's even bigger in Japan. That's why this is big news. The January issue of Monthly Jump, which goes on sale December 6 (or one week before Blue Dragon's December 12 release) will feature Blue Dragon ST (that's Secret Trick.) Bigger news: Weekly Shonen Jump will be getting Blue Dragon: Raf Grad, drawn by the same artist who works on immensely popular Jump title Death Note (which, if you're into manga, you've probably already read in English.)

We don't know what the fate of these titles will be in the US, but we're pretty sure that we'll start seeing one or both of them here sooner or later. But no word yet. Check out the NeoGAF thread for scans of the Jump pages that tell the tale.

This, or a mansion? Can't decide...

Ever considered paying almost two million dollars for a single game? Well, aside from the fact that we seriously doubt most of our readership has that much going spare, it's just... insane. Well, if you're familiar with the internet, you may have noticed it is full of insane people. Case in point: this eBay auction. If it's legit, it's for one of the rarest Atari 2600 cartridges ever: Atlantis II. Ten copies of the game were given to contest winners. Now, this is certainly one of the rarest games in existence for one of the most popular console systems ever, but $1,750,000,000? Not happening. Still, it's worth checking the auction out for the dude's story. And, you know, if you're going to auction off something for over a million dollars, maybe you should consider not photographing it on your kitchen floor.

Japan invades

So the first Wii commercials debuted in the US last night. And, wow, we're not sure what to say. Actually, as far as showing what the system does, they're pretty groovy. But all our expert eyes see is two Japanese dudes driving a tiny German car, meeting up with some rent-a-hipsters and playing Red Steel. It's all so... posed. There's also one of a perfect suburban family enjoying Wii Sports, which is a mite less fake - and yeah, they get the point across. Nintendo says: goodbye fanboys, hello world.
