The Shigsy Spielberg love match

[Wii] The two entertainment gods play Wii tennis

Monday 15 May 2006
One of the most remarkable sights at last week's E3 wasn't a next-gen game or even a scantily dressed booth babe, it was the sight of two of the world's greatest minds in entertainment waving around a couple of remotes in front of a screen as Shigeru Miyamoto and Steven Spielberg played a game of tennis in Wii Sports.

Spielberg, who is a long time fan of videogaming, was one of the 60,000 attendees at E3 2006 and had the powers of Wii demonstrated to him by the creator of Mario and Zelda, Shigeru Miyamoto.

We're not too sure who won the match but from the pictures both seemed to have had a lovely time together, and we like to imagine they went off for a pint together and perhaps hugged when they departed.

Above: Stevie and Shigs having fun together. We bet they're best friends
