Following the new blue Wii bundle, Nintendo has announced two Wii Fit Plus bundles, the perfect gift for fitness fanatics. Also revealed is a brand new value Wii bundle, launching next month.

Overview - First off, welcome to a new monthly feature. The layout will be identical to the Weekly Sales Analysis feature, except it will be looking at an entire month worth of sales. The month of June is a five week period, while May is a four week, therefore month on month sales would need to be up between 20 percent and 25 percent to be flat for the weekly sales. With a full month of a price cut Wii sales nearly double. Year on year sales are down across the board for both hardware and software sales. Six games sold over 500,000, which is up from three last week.

Nintendo has announced that their first-party titles, Wii Party and Wii Sports Resort, will be receiving price cuts in the US at the start of next week.

Its been widely reported of late that Nintendos Wii console has found its sales drastically declining. With little in the way of new software and waning consumer interest, it does appear as if Nintendos industry-leading bubble has finally burst, and the latest nail in that coffin comes with a new price slash, seeing the Wii finally cross to that fabled sub-£100 price-point.

Paul Govan writes that Nintendo will be mirroring Wii-Sports Resorts' multiplayer modes in the 3DS Pilotwings Resort. He basis this on the existing functionality that mirrors other aspects of Wii-Sports Flying levels, and the importance of the multiplayer feature for more casual players.

Overview Hardware continues to drop for a third straight week, however the drop is smaller (-21% to -36%) than the last two weeks. The PS3, Wii, X360 and DS are over 200,000 and the PSP is over 100,000. There are no milestones this week related to hardware. When it comes to software Wii Sports Resort passes the 24 million mark, Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) reaches the 4 million mark and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (DS) passes 250,000 in sales. No games sold over 500,000, the top two sold over 200,000, the top 10 sold over 100,000 and the top 22 sold over 50,000.

The Pittsburgh Public Library in Kansas (not Pennsylvania) purchased a snazzy new Wii, and declared Wednesdays to be "Wii Wednesdays," making it something between a library and a living room. Or old-folks home. But cool, in a way...

As the holiday season is winding down hardware and software sales are down significantly (-39% to -58%) week on week for every platform. After two straight weeks of 3 platforms selling over 1 million units, none are over the 1 million mark this week. The Wii and DS are over 700,000, the Xbox 360 is over 600,000, the PlayStation 3 is over 500,000 and the PSP is over 300,000. As for milestones this week the DS passes 145 million units sold to date, the Wii passes 84 million, the Xbox 360 passes 51 million and the PlayStation 3 passes 46 million. The top two games sold over 500,000, the top 17 sold over 200,000 and the top 35 sold over 100,000.

Overview It was a light week for debuts with only two games debuting in the top 50, but neither of them is in the top 30. Having said that total software sales year on year are up for every platform, except for the DS. One game sold over 1 million, the top 14 sold over 500,000 and the top 56 sold over 100,000. Hardware has increased for every platform week on week and should increase again next week, the biggest week of the year for sales. Three platforms, the Wii, DS, and Xbox 360 have sold over 1 million units, with a chance of four platforms selling over 1 million next week. Total DS sales to date are currently just under 143 million. The Wii passes the 82 million mark. Xbox 360 sales will reach 50 million next week, as the PlayStation 3 will also hit a milestone, 45 million units sold.

Overview World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (PC) debuts at the top this week with over 2 million copies sold. Only one other game debuted in the top 50. Two games sold over 1 million, the top 10 sold over 500,000 and the top 46 sold over 100,000. Hardware has increased for every platform except the PSP which saw a dip after the release of Monster Hunter Freedom 3 in Japan last week. Total DS sales to date pass the 140 million this week and also surpass the PlayStation 2 as the bestselling video game platform of all time. The Wii hits the 80 million mark, only the sixth platform to achieve this.
