Thankfully however, Wii Fit will arrive equipped with a selection of sports-based events with which to fully utilise the pressure pad and motion control combination and all-but guarantee a boosted sense of fun as well as a boosted heart rate and metabolism.

Wii - Wii Fit - Wii Fit On Sale, Unboxed and Touched Over the weekend, Wii Fit went on sale in Japan. Most stores were selling one-Wii Fit-per-person, and it did brisk business with long lines. (With the current health craze in Japan, we imagine that it will continue to do well.) This shouldn't come as a surprise as Nintendo's been advertising Wii Fit pretty hard in primetime here. Wii - Wii Fit - Wii Fit launches in Japan, huge queues form  A gamer has provided shots from the Yodobashi Kichijoji at about 9:30am yesterday when Wii Fit officially went on sale in Japan. In front of him and behind him there were massive queues for the product which indicates Nintendo has another winner on their hands.

Wii - Wii Fit - Wii Fit Launches In Japan This is it, kids. The start of a new era of video gaming has begun as Nintendo has shipped Wii Fit in Japan. The 8800 yen (about $80 US) game with its custom controller, the Wii balance board, was revealed at E3 2007, with some expecting it to act as the Wii's answer to Nintendo DS-selling mega-hit Brain Age.

North American and European gamers won't have access to Wii Fit until sometime in 2008, but Japan is burning calories as we speak (or will be within hours).

Wii - Wii Fit - Wii Fit Retail Pre-Orders: 120,000-300,000 in Japan According to Sinobi, Japanese retailers are unsure just how well the Wii Fit and Wii Balance Board package will sell, and they have pre-ordered between 120,000 and 300,000 copies from Nintendo, which launches on 1st December.

Level 5's Professor Layton and the Devil's Box on DS, due 29th November, though, has around 600,000 retail pre-orders.

Wii - Wii Fit - Wii Board has a 300lbs limit A new promotional image for the Wii balance board as utilized in Wii Fit shows that the accessory has a weight limit of 300lbs (136KG) slapped on it, however this is for the Japanese version and perhaps there will be adjustments for other regions.

Wii - Wii Fit - According To Reggie, No Wii Fit In US In 2007 Chris Kohler of Wired's Game | Life had a chat with Reggie Fils-Aime about Wii Fit during E3, and two details came out of it ¿ one of which was particularly noteworthy. As we all expect, the game will cost more than the traditional $50 price point for Wii titles. Research is still being done on the cost of the Wii Balance Board, so that will be what helps dictate the final price.

Wii - Wii Fit - Retailers Suggest Price of Wii Fit and Balance Board As you'd expect during last week's E3, the Wii Balance Board shown with Wii Fit came up as a topic of conversation more than a few times. One thing everyone seemed to want to know about was the price, though unfortunately Nintendo wasn't ready to address that just yet. At the time, all that could be wheedled out of the Big N was that it would certainly be more than a mere $50 game. However, that hasn't stopped retailers from taking a shot at it, and listings are already popping up online.

That one game may have single-handedly helped push the DS into its current state of world dominance (Pokemon sure doesn't hurt either), and now Nintendo's hoping Wii Fit does the same for its motion-sensitive console. Wii - Wii Fit -  E3 2007: Wii Fit More Details Nintendo announced another title in their line of casual games at this year's E3 Press conference. Wii Fit is a series of games designed to increase fitness through balance and aerobics. The game uses a new peripheral, the Wii Balance Board. The white board, about the size of an average home weight scale is used for the entire game.
