Just because a game gets rated 'Mature' doesn't mean it's going to be grown up and serious and any better than something deemed suitable for younger gamers. However, chances are it is probably going to be more fun, simply because it'll have more violence, more sexy, more swearing, more alcohol. And all of those things, as any responsible adult will tell you, are the main ingredients for a good time. In our opinion, the following games could ...

This could change. In a recent survey Atlus asked their fanbase if they would be interested to see Trauma Center games appear on other platforms such as the Xbox 360, PSP, PlayStation 3, and mobile phones. Of course, a public survey doesn't guarantee Trauma Center: 360th Opinion is in development, but Atlus is thinking about where else to take the series."
It certainly wasn't a surprise when Trauma Center: Second Opinion the Wii instalment got treated the same. But the game is finally coming here after being rated by the OFLC, that's right kiddies, Nintendo Australia is bringing the surgical simulator down under at least (from today) 1 year, 6 months and 23 days after the American Launch.
While we still await the November 14th release of Trauma Center: Second Opinion on Wii, Japan got bored with it ages ago, and is now eyeing up the newly-revealed sequel, Trauma Center: New Blood.

According to them, the new game will also pack a new online rankings feature, so you can compare your ninja operating skills to ...

Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America president, is a man on a mission. His mission is to sell the red-hot Nintendo Wii and make sure people who have them love them.

"Are we feeling good about our success? Do we think we can have more success in the future? Absolutely," he said during a stuffed 40-minute interview with MTV News in a hotel just south of Central Park. "I do think that highlights a difference between us and our competitors: We're not arrogant. We don't view success as a right. We feel we need to earn success every day. And we're going to do that by being true to the gamer."

In the same hotel 51 weeks ago, Fils-Aime gave MTV News an early handle on the Nintendo Wii controller (see "First Look: Nintendo Revolution Controller Feels Smooth As Puppet Strings"). Now he's ready to talk about any Wii topic under the sun - to a point.

"We're looking at this as about eight days into the mission," he said, opening with a report of the company's recent success. Nintendo has sold 600,000 Wiis in North America and nearly half as many extra Wii controllers, Fils-Aime said (see "Wii Unmasked: Nintendo Reveals Price, Launch Date, Lineup Of Games"). The company has also sold more than 450,000 copies of "The Legend of Zelda: The Twilight Princess." He said "Red Steel," "Rayman Raving Rabbids" and "Madden" all have sold well, as has the surgery game "Trauma Center: Second Opinion."

He offered a preview of the Wii's winter lineup. In addition to support from third-party game developers, Nintendo will publish three more titles for the Wii by the end of March: "WarioWare: Smooth Moves," "Wii Play" and "Mario Party 8." The first two will be released in January, the latter in March. All are compilations of shorter games...
You know, the battery-powered board game in which you used tweezers to yank vital bones and organs from some poor schlub with bad hair and a light-up nose? What a great game. And Trauma Center: Second Opinion is the super-powered, seven-headed, genetically mutated video evolution of that game. It's niche-y and unique and a little gory and it isn't going to be easy to find. But find it anyway, because it's also the Wii's second must-have game (Zelda being the ...
Much like that feeling of leaving a Jackie Chan movie convinced you can cartwheel across a telephone line, Trauma Center: Second Opinion instills a sense of medical mastery that really wouldn't be possible without the Wii remote.

DS surgery sim Trauma Center is on its way to Wii - Nintendo's next-gen console - in the sequel Trauma Center: Second Opinion.

Very few details have been released about the game but, from the screenshots, it seems that it will have the same anime characters and presentation as the Nintendo DS original. Take a look at some more screens on the images tab above.

Developer Atlus Software will be making full use of the Wii-mote, just as it did with the DS stylus and ...
