Wii News from N4G | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Wii - Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - GameCube titles sold as Wii games by Pirates NintendoWiiFanboy reports:
"Filipino site GameOPS found that pirates are up to their old tricks again, copying GameCube games onto DVD discs and packaging them as Wii releases. Titles like Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition are advertised with new covers that've been rebranded with Wii logos and boxart elements. Unlike official GameCube-to-Wii ports, these don't even feature tacked-on waggle controls!"

Wii News | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Wednesday 4 October 2006 New images of Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam on Wii - the more cartoonish, arcadey speed-run little brother to the main series - have arrived, and you can coast on up to the images tab to check them out. It's almost a companion title to Sega's Sonic and the Secret Rings, with both games going for big speed, big sky and instantly appreciable tilt control - although Downhill Jam's cast have more acrobatic tricks up their fashionably long sleeves than our blue ... » Read More

Wii - Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam - First Look First look at this unique Wii racer. The Tony Hawk games aren't what they once were. Wii News | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Hot on the back wheels of today's DS shots, here's a few new screens from Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam for Wii. You may be relieved to know that none of them feature pictures of hip, smiling people waving Wii controllers. The visuals are more in line with the traditional Tony games, unlike the cel-shaded DS installments. What's not so traditional, of course, is the control - you'll be wielding the Wii remote to guide your skater, as with Excite Truck, by holding it sideways in both hands. Jolting ... » Read More

Wii News | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
The basic premise with most Wii games is "simplicity." Thus, a trick-heavy, fully customizable Tony Hawk series may not be the best way to introduce people to the motion-sensing Wii wand. That's where Downhill Jam comes into play - it's a dead-simple, all-downhill racer that's easy enough to pick up, but may be hanging on to too many elements of the regular series. So you're a punky skater kid rolling down the absurdly hilly streets of San Francisco. To steer, the wand is held sideways like a ... » Read More

Wii News | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
We all knew there was going to be a new Tony Hawk game announced at E3, but how about a Wii- and DS-exclusive title that bucks everything the series has done before? Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam puts you on a one-way, downhill track and focuses solely on fast-paced, teeth-grinding speed. You play as Hawk or one of nine other grungy-esque characters, cutting through such geography-rich regions like San Francisco, Hong Kong and Rio de Janeiro, usually vying for a first-placed run. The Wii remote is ... » Read More

Wii News | Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam
Wednesday 10 May 2006 When Wii hits the shops at the end of the year, it'll play host to next-gen versions of both Tony Hawk's and Call of Duty, according to publisher Activision. Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Call of Duty 3 are set for release in autumn, and will feature in the launch line-up for Nintendo's newly rechristened console. However, despite hitting several current and next-gen systems, Call of Duty 3 won't be striking a beachhead on PC. This info was beamed to our eyes at ... » Read More
