411mania gives a rundown on this week's game releases. Highlights include Tenchu: Shadow Assassins, My World, My Way, and Another Code: R.

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (Wii)
"New to the series is a feature called 'Mind's Eye' which allows you to quickly and easily find your enemies on screen and also see what's in their current field of vision. This makes it easier to gauge where you can safely go to avoid discovery while creeping up on your unsuspecting victims. You can also use 'Mind's Eye' to find out what can be manipulated in the area, which means you no longer have to play the guessing game when it comes to finding which flames can be blown out, what objects can be moved, which doors can be opened, etc."

My World, My Way (DS)
"One of the unique features of this game is Elise's ability to change the world around her by pouting. Many objects in the world such as landscapes, shop items, monster stats, and drops are subject to her wants and desires. Of course, you need special points to use the power of the pout, so don't expect to be bossing everything around without limit. You can also look forward to a lot of humor relating to many of the RPG clichés that fans of the genre have had to put up with over the years."

Another Code: R - Kioku no Tobira (Wii Import)
"The first Trace Memory is one of the more memorable first-run DS games thanks to its original and engaging story, decent puzzles, and good use of the DS' features. If history repeats itself, the sequel will be one of the few Nintendo published Wii games that makes good use of the Wii's many unique features without having that 'tacked-on waggle' feel that we've come to expect from most of the system's games."
Every character model is a statuesque brute, albeit carved from prime beef as opposed to stone. Every chest is coated with enough hair to craft 100 Brillo Pads. Even lady ninja Ayame comes stocked with horse thighs capable of snapping a neck. Tenchu4 is meaty. And Tenchu is governed by an equally meaty rulebook, free of confusing degrees of right and wrong. ...

WiiFanboy: "There's been some confusion about the motion-control content of Tenchu 4, at least on our part -- how pervasive is it? Is it all waggle all the time, or is it basic Tenchu with added motion flavor? What we really needed was for someone to play it and describe it to us."
Tenchu 4 Isn't A Wii Exclusive? It's Coming To The PSP Too? (News)

Siliconera writes: "The OFLC just rated Tenchu 4 and in the land down under it's considered as a multiplatform game. Most Wii exclusives like the recently rated We Cheer are rightfully only listed as a Nintendo Wii game. Tenchu 4 is not. This news comes after we had an e-mail exchange with a member of the Tenchu 4 staff who told us they were working on "Tenchu 4 PSP". I wrote this news off as a typo, but with the OFLC listing Tenchu 4 as a multiplatform game I think this was an accidental leak to us. Also possibly related is Acquire's Tokyo Game Show line up. Tenchu 4 is on there, of course, Dungeons & Dam is underneath it sitting right on top of an unannounced game. Perhaps, this slot will be used for a Tenchu 4 PSP port."

via WiiFanboy:

"When your sneaky ninja assassin is discovered in Tenchu IV, the target shakes your hand, laughing heartily while exclaiming "Ohhhhh, you! You almost got me that time! I gotta watch this guy!" Of course we're kidding -- he tries to murder you. In situations when you've been noticed, rather than just giving up or retrying, you now have the option to actually fight in a new first-person mode.

In alternating attack and defense phases, you use Wiimote gestures to simulate a one-on-one swordfight, battling until one of you is dead or your sword breaks. It's like Rose & Camellia, except with to-the-death ninja fights instead of Victorian-era face-reddening! Being a ninja and therefore a total jerk, you can also throw knives while fighting."
