Tamagotchi are cute. The pastel cel-shaded 2D is handled a little bit like 3D, with a ground-level camera angle that feels like running through a primary school play, passing bits of cheerfully painted cardboard cutouts. But cuteness doesn’t make up for the lack of an enjoyable game - we hope this only serves a short term in office.
