Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Smash Bros. Brawl Dojo has been updated with two new updates today. The first update is a short movie highlighting the much anticipated appearance of Snake in the game. The second update concerns Shadow Moses Island, a new level inspired from opening area of Metal Gear Solid. According to the site, when playing on this level, Snake can communicate with his team who will give him information on his competitors.

Smash Brothers Melee provided a vast library of data from the player's battles but this data could not be moved off of the memory card. If this feature is confirmed then players will be able to keep track of all their matches whether they are playing on their own system or a friend's.

Animal Crossing is finally coming to the Wii¿well, at least one of the characters from Nintendo's life simulation series will appear on the system. According to the Smash Bros. blog, Mr. Resetti shows up in the game as an assist trophy.

The ever fruitful Smash Bros Dojo has produced a fresh crop of images showing Solid Snake making his debut appearance in the upcoming Nintendo Wii scrapper, Super Smash Bros Brawl. As well as showing the Metal Gear hard man springing a surprise on Mario (below), Snake is also seen taking a shot at Link and locked in an embrace with Fire Emblem's Ike. Intercontinental online battles have now been officially added to the growing list of reasons why Super Smash Bros. Brawl is going to kick ass. Nintendo has confirmed that the all-star fighter will allow players to kick off with friends or random players around the world via its free Wi-Fi Connection service - screens of which can be found here.

Sakurai has today confirmed that Super Smash Bros Brawl will contain WiFi Play in his latest blog update. Online play for SSBB will consist of two modes - "With Friends" and "With Anyone". Sakurai has also apologised in advance that although he has done his best with online that the game may become slower the further you live away due to lag. Also mentioned in the blog is how you will play with friends and yes it looks like you will need to use some sort of friend code, but it doesn't mention them specifically.

Today's Smash Bros update is another big one with Special Brawl, a new mode which allows you to edit the way you play the game to any way you want. Previously you could only choose one different variable such as Giant mode but now you can chop and change variables such as the Size of your characters, the type of body your characters have, gravity and speed of the game among others.

It's that time again and Mr. Sakurai has given us one of hell of a huge update today on the Smash Bros Dojo, not only do we get an awesome new feature, but two more music samples to listen to as well as a new item which affects the music! The 'My Music' feature allows you change what tracks from the stages you listen to and how often they will play. Sakurai says this was done because not everyone started on the same Mario game for example and so these people may recognise tracks from more recent games in a franchise.
