Super Mario Galaxy on the Wii will be launching a day earlier in selected stores around the UK. Eight Stores in total across the UK and Ireland will be selling the game to anyone from the hours of 6pm-9pm on Thursday 15th November as well as handing out prizes to the eager fans that turn up.
Toys R Us will reportedly offer a free $25 gift card with the purchase of Super Mario Galaxy for Nintendo Co.'s Wii home video game system.

According to Japanese blogger 'Sinobi', which regularly updates with early sales figures, Koei's Wii-exclusive RPG 'Opoona' - which has been getting positive previews and good magazine coverage - has sold only 2,500 copies on its first day with 3.7 million Wii's in Japan. Ace Combat 6, with fewer than 500,000 Xbox 360 in Japan, has passed 35,000 units.

During their extensive hands-on time with Super Mario Galaxy, Gameplayer noticed some things which pointed to release of a demo for this Wii blockbuster.
A NeoGAF post has information on the apparent leak of the Mario Galaxy code well before the game's official release. It seems that the demo copies found at local Electronics Boutique stores only have a ten minute time limit when played on EB's proprietary demo machines, and when played in consumer Wiis, the disc actually contains the full version of Galaxy. Taking advantage of this, a scurvy EB employee lifted the disc, copied the data from it, and uploaded it all directly into the cargo hold of his nearest Internet receptacle.
