Mario 3D Land director Koichi Hayashida's request for Kuribo's Shoe to return in Super Mario Galaxy was rejected by Nintendo's Yoshiaki Koizumi.
Today Nintendo revealed the next four classic Wii titles to earn the "Nintendo Selects" treatment - Super Paper Mario, Mario Strikers Charged, Punch-Out!! and Super Mario Galaxy, one of this generation's best games period. As of August 28, each will be marked at $19.99 and semi-ruined with gawdy red packaging. Super Mario Galaxy(SMG) was released on November 12, 2007 for the Wii. The game brought Wii owners a brand new 3D Mario adventure in a galaxy that might be far away, but it had a lot of characters Mario fans were familiar with, and it was the first new Mario platforming game for the Wii system. New Super Mario Bros. Wii(NSMBW) was released on November 15, 2009 for the Wii. While the game didn't boast full 3D environments, or super crazy gravity effects necessarily, it brought Wii owners a Mario game that hearkened back to the NES and SNES days of Mario console games, and it could be played by up to 4 players simultaneously. With Super Mario Galaxy having been released more than 2 years before New Super Mario Bros. Wii, it would be safe to assume that Super Mario Galaxy would have more game-play hours reported right? Wrong! Let's take a look!, says CoffeeWithGames in the introduction section.
Ever thought it would be a good idea to lock yourself up in a small Mushroom Kingdom-decorated room to beat every level, collect every star and stomp every Goomba the Super Mario franchise has ever produced? Nope? Well apparently a small group of absolutely insane people have done so and for the fourth year in a row theyre doing the Mario Marathon.
You're all doubtless familiar with the recent Modern Warfare 3 trailer debut during the NBA Western Conference Finals. As we're all championship figure-skating aficionados here, let's not pretend you didn't all see the silver medal-winning Russian performance: a gender-bending Super Mario pastiche. You've probably watched this thing to death already, but can’t we take just one more look? Together?...

Collecting designer shoes is a hobby reserved for people with money and fashion; two things I'm relatively low on these days. Regardless, there's bound to be some video game fashionistas with a few extra bucks kicking around, so perhaps there is a market for these special edition Super Mario Chuck Taylor Hi shoes from Converse after all...
Ah, poor Luigi. Despite his toned physique, superior jumping skills and ghost hunting abilities, his is life doomed to be lived in the shadow of a fat brother who spends an unhealthy amount of time playing mini-games and getting into dysfunctional relationships with princesses. Despite this, Luigi seems to be ok with his place in the Mushroom Kingdom, except in the rare instances when he loses his shit altogether and, well, you'll see...
