New Space Station Tycoon Details Revealed (News)

Namco Bandai today released a new press release detailing just what gamers should expect in the upcoming Space Station Tycoon exclusively for the Wii.

In Space Station Tycoon, players will follow the adventures of Shawn and Tam as they travel through the pirate infested universe encountering meteor fields, supernovas and much more,seeking the fame and fortune found in space station management. Offering fast paced gameplay, the title will focus on character interaction, humor, light puzzle solving and complete customization in a non-linear game world.

We thought we had this whimsical SimCity-in-space game's number before we even sat down to play it. We'd played quite a bit of its they-hope-we-don't-mention-it forerunner, Outpost Kaloki X on Xbox 360 and were certain that Space Station Tycoon was just a clone of it. We were only partly right; this is a very similar title from the same developer, but it's very heavily evolved and expanded. Space Station Tycoon is a management sim in which you build and run a space station. The game is being developed by Wahoo Studios, who were previously responsible for Outpost Kaloki X on Xbox Live Arcade, to which this bares many similarities.
