Soulcalibur Legends

Also known as: Soul Calibur Legends

What do Solid Snake, Lara Croft and Samus Aran all have in common? They dress for success. Their own costume, be it custom-built spacesuit or bottomless backpack, is directly related to their adventuresome profession. No matter the situation, these heroes are loaded with gadgets, training and expertise that'll see them through to the end. But not all game characters are created equal. A great many appear to have no practical application other than "the boss says this guy stays in the game."

From PS3 Attitude; Ubisoft confirm that they will be distributing Soulcalibur IV across PAL territories, and our worst fears are confirmed about the LucasArts 'bonus' characters...

ToysRUs has just gone above and beyond the call of corporate greed. The retailer is offering what is perhaps the worst next-gen console bundle in the history of gaming: a Nintendo Wii and 10 games (No 1st Party titles) for $700.

This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending December 3rd, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. This week's top five all-platform requests show little movement once again, after last week saw the list barely ruffled. Assassin's Creed still takes the top spot for a third week with Mass Effect in second for its second week in a row. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which spent the last two weeks at number four, slips a bit to the fourth spot to make room for Kane and Lynch: Dead Men to move up one spot into the fourth spot, but that's the only movement -- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune stays at number five, where it entered last week.

The usually brilliant Soul Calibur series has made its appearance on Wii in the form of a spin-off adventure game, but, unfortunately for Nintendo fans, word is it's not up to scratch. The latest issue of Nintendo Power, the official Nintendo Magazine in the US, has published the first review for the game - a small, easily missed column at the back of the reviews section - with a score of just 6.5 out of 10. Oh dear.

Namco Bandai today sent word that its upcoming Wii title Soul Calibur Legends has officially gone gold and is scheduled to hit store shelves on November 20. Soul Calibur Legends strays from the series norm as a third person action adventure, featuring use of the Wii's intuitive controls, a unique combat system and classic roster of Soulcalibur characters.
