Rune Factory: Frontier

Andriasang: The latest entries in Nintendo's Everyone's Recommendation Selection lineup of budget titles have a common trait: they're RPGs.

Rising Star Games will release Rune Factory Frontier tomorrow in the UK on the Wii Platform. The game is a spin off of the Harvest Moon series. For more information and screenshots check out the link.

Vooks: It may have been over a year since its US release, but All Interactive Entertainment has now announced the game for Aussies.

Part of the challenge in Rune Factory Frontier is to learn various trades from farming and foraging to crafting and cooking, which help to bring the city to life. There are seasonal variations in the weather affecting the type of crops that can be grown throughout the year.

RPG Deals this week are highlighted by a buy-one-get-one DS game sale, as well as some discounts on lots of RPGs like Persona 4, Disgaea 3, Fable II, and many more.

Highlights from February include the mind-meltingly mental Half-Minute Hero on PlayStation Portable (PSP). This brilliantly original title fuses classic gaming mechanics with bite-sized thirty-second gaming to create one of the format's most audacious twists on the Role-Playing Game (RPG) genre. Animal Kororo, a ludicrously cute Puzzle game will also be published on Nintendo DS this month.

Rune Factory: Frontier, co-published by Marvelous Entertainment USA and XSEED Games, ships to retail stores in North America today for Wii. Rune Factory: Frontier is the latest installment of the Rune Factory series and the first to be developed for a home console. In Rune Factory: Frontier, play as the young, kind-hearted Raguna, a hero who always helps people in distress. Raguna arrives to the village of Trampoli in search of a missing girl, Mist, but soon finds himself living there for an indefinite amount of time. Within this new frontier, Raguna can pursue various trades including farming, forging, crafting and cooking, explore the town and dungeons, or adventure to the gigantic floating whale island that looms overhead.
