Wii - Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors - Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors Break out the Icy/Hot, kids - you'll never make it through Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors without loose joints. The game dispenses with the turn-based RPG combat and sprawling world map of other Dragon Quest games in favor of an on-rails, first person hack and slash adventure perfectly tailored to the Wii. A few things are thrown in for fans of the series - familiar music, typical character stereotypes, ...

Wii - Monster Trux: Offroad - Monster Trux: Offroad Regardless of our own personal feelings about the proper use of monster trucks, Bold Games has conjured up Monster Trux: Offroad for Wii - a straightforward racer that contains about as much quality content as its moniker has class and respectability - that is, not much at all. Its rough-and-tumble racing experience might at first be likened to Nintendo's own Excite Truck, but with few opportunities for air, it's mostly just a low-key ...

Wii Review
Of the different Bomberman Land games, the Wii iteration is the most straightforward of the bunch. You don't have to concern yourself with tracking down items or solving puzzles to get through the story mode. Instead, you only have to worry about your hand falling off from madly shaking the Wii remote as you play through dozens of awful minigames. To be fair, a few of the minigames are good. Moving the Wii remote up and down to pump the crank on ...

Wii - Kawasaki Jet Ski - Kawasaki Jet Ski Kawasaki Jet Ski is the fifth Wii racing game released by publisher Bold Games (a sub-brand of Destineer) within the first month of 2008 – which would be a remarkable feat, were it something to be celebrated. Like its budget brethren, Kawasaki Jet Ski appears to have been compiled entirely by machines, offering a generic, unchallenging take on the genre popularized by Wave Race 64 back in 1996. In fact, with limp waves and even limper ...

Wii - Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore - Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore Few expected the pairing of the Karaoke Revolution franchise and the popular American Idol television license (previously tied to a horrifying 2003 dance game) to produce such a genuine, revitalized iteration of the aging sing-along series, but it happened - and we're better singers because of it (maybe). Thirteen months later, Konami is back with Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol Encore, and the addition of that final word to the ...

Wii - Donkey Kong Barrel Blast - Donkey Kong Barrel Blast Oh no - not you again. Barrel Blast is the worst game to carry Nintendo’s logo since the late nineties, and a game with Game & Watch-level gameplay married to sub-GameCube graphics. The Wii’s best titles are games that couldn’t be done anywhere else. Free from fluff or waste, they’re accessible and graspable by even the densest of non-gamers. Simple, immediate games are exactly what make the Wii great, and the ...

Almost, but not quite. That's the skinny on One Piece: Unlimited Adventure. For the 60-or-so hours it'll take you to complete the story mode, you'll command the characters from the One Piece anime and manga franchise, explore a beautiful 3D rendered island, and have a free pass to beat the stuffing out of the soldiers that frequently get in your way. There's just one catch. The majority of those 60-hours will be spent gathering rocks, bugs, fish, and other silly bits of junk. The game opens ...

Wii Review
We've lived with the Wii for more than a year now, so there's really no reason to belabor this opening point: Yes, the Wii plays host to an inordinate amount of minigame collections. Furthermore, most of them are insipid, although some few are actually worth your time, whether you're flying solo or waggling with companions. Furu Furu Park unfortunately does not fall into that worthwhile category, but it's hard to tell if it just misses the mark or if it truly falls into the category of soulless ...

Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity is missing the sense of speed that we expect from Sonic. It isnt entirely gone, but only shows up in short bursts. The really fast parts tend to happen on invisible (or visible) rails. Everything else seems like the slow part between the shortcuts and boosts. We do like the courses, which are packed with flashy scenery and things that will slow you if you run into them. And were indifferent about the new gravity controls. Part of the lack of a feeling of speed comes ...
