It's been over a decade since Resident Evil, the most terrifying, imitated, and intense zombie-virus video game franchise to hit your TV screens made its mark on the gaming industry, and fans have been hungrier than a T-virus infected dogs for figures and collectibles. Last year NECA celebrated the 10 years of gory greatness with their Resident Evil: Anniversary Series 1 Action Figures, and this year they get even grislier with some of your favorite monsters from the franchise in Series 2.
Official Nintendo Magazine UK points out that most of the game played in co-operation with another CPU-controller character, suggesting a two-player option in the final game.
So you've seen the trailer already, showing off the head-bursting shoot-outs and first-person throwbacks to old-school light-gun antics. But now it's time to get the facts down straight for this upcoming rail-shooting, Wii-mote wielding action title that spans the likes of just about every Resident Evil game.
Capcom has put out a release both confirming Resident Evil 4 and adding a few details about Umbrella Chronicles as well. RE4 for Wii will be including the additional content found in the PlayStation 2 version of the game.

Capcom is holding a Gamers Day event on April 12 to showcase at least part of its 2007 lineup and several Wii projects are expected to be on-hand, including the tentatively named Treasure Island Z. In addition, some reports indicate that the studio may choose this venue to unveil the anticipated Wii survival-horror sequel, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles.
