Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi says Capcom has made no concessions to the original vision of his game, despite accusations of racism.

When the trailer for RE5 debuted last year, numerous onlookers took offense to its depiction of race. Set in Africa, the spot showed the white Chris Redfield blowing away black villagers, who (presumeably) had been infected with a zombifying virus of some sort.

Capcom has released its longest, most revealing trailer of Resident Evil 5 yet, and as you'd expect it's shockingly good.

First and foremost, the two minute-plus video unveils Chris Redfield's new partner, who in complete non-tradition with the series, is a fit bird. He makes reference to Jill as well, who we reckon will probably turn up at some point.

Dec 17, 2007 The live action films weren't that great, but Resident Evil's got another chance at making right on the movie screen with the straight to DVD CGI flick Biohazard: Degeneration.
