We've rounded up a gang of Red Steel shots as Wii's first-announced shooter limbers up for a shot at the console's launch line-up.

It's been a bumpy ride for Red Steel, after an unimpressed response from the E3 crowd in May saw the game yanked back in by the collar of its fancy leather jacket for some visual and control polishing.

Soon we'll be able to find out for ourselves if it was all worth it but, in the meantime, check out the shots on the Images tab and imagine your best Wii-mote action poses - could it be the next great physical action game after diving behind the couch for reloads in Time Crisis?
