Ubisoft has today confirmed that the award-winning Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter composer Tom Salta has been brought on board to score the forthcoming Wii launch title, Red Steel.

Red Steel is one of the highly anticipated games for Wii. With previous reports that Wii launch titles will lack online functionality, Ubisoft Senior Project Coordinator Stephanie Langlois discussed in an interview, the multiplayer mode of Red Steel.
According to German gaming site Nintendo-LAN.de, Ubisoft Paris' Red Steel is moving toward a more freestyle sword fighting scheme. Nintendo-LAN, answering a question from Mordrag, said that "the control [of Red Steel] is revised completely, so that the movements of the controller are transmitted precise into the game."
Gamers hoping for an online component in third-party games like Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, are in for bad news, because one isn't planned.
