In the mid-to-late ‘90s the company pumped out at least one VHS tape a year, each focusing on whatever the newest, greatest release happened to be. Some have become quite famous since then, sprouting all over YouTube and message boards across the net. ...

It’s rare to see a game that’s genuinely funny (on purpose, at least), and most of the games that try range from passably entertaining to insultingly awful. Chalk it up to games and humor being subjective art forms, one man’s culture being another man’s trash, et cetera. ...

When you squeeze that trigger in Halo you always know what’s going to come out of that gun. It has to be this way. Imagine, for example, if nine times out of ten Master Chief’s shoot button became an instruction to drop his weapon – he’d be pretty screwed. Wii remote gestures are not button presses, however, and Ready 2 Rumble hammers the point home. ...

R2RR dev: Wii controls have "a lot of limitations" (News)

David Geudelekian, Producer on Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, has claimed that the Wii's much-vaunted control scheme is far from perfect.

"There are a lot of hardware limitations on the Wii, like for example the Z-planing is very difficult - it's the worst and least sensitive motion for the Wii," Geudelekian told Kikizo.

This particular drawback has apparently obliged R2RR developer AKI Corporation to use the Wii remote's accelerometer in some cases rather than its motion-sensing functionality.

Geudelekian later reflected negatively on the Wii's software line-up, commenting that R2RR's mini-game offerings were a far cry from "the waggle-fest mini-games that we're used to on this wonderful piece of hardware".

Hit the jump for Geudelekian's thoughts on the strength of the IP, Revolution's relaxed combo timing and celebrities who really need to get over themselves.
But, most shockingly, it's actually got some great games to back it up. Here are five games Atari were showing off that we reckon you're going to want to play. ...
