As you probably already know, Call of Duty: World at War is due out this fall for 360, PS3, PC and Wii. Activision has turned to good ol’ reliable Treyarch to develop World at War, while series creators Infinity Ward are hard at work on the next ordinal chapter, Call of Duty 5, for sometime in the distant future. More Duty should be a good thing, right? But fans are worried that with Treyarch helming the Pacific-themed WWII shooter, ...

The Fatal Frame games have established themselves as the byword for suspense-filled horror. There are no showers of blood or shotguns, no hideous demons with heads attached to their backsides, and definitely no muscle-bound heroes called Jack. Instead, you play as a fragile-looking Japanese schoolgirl and are only ever armed with a flashlight and a special camera that can exorcise the ghosts that haunt whatever spooky location it is that you ...

When one is eating at a chain restaurant, Chili's perhaps, many questions enter one’s mind: Where is the food? Do they serve margarita pitchers at 2:00 PM? Where the eff is that waitress? Still, you may not be so inquisitive about who is in the kitchen. But after spending some time with Order Up!... ...
» Read MoreWii isn't exactly known for its unique third party titles. At best we'll see a port or an old sequel rehashed for a "new audience," maybe even a side-sequel like Soulcalibur Legends or Umbrella Chronicles that is supposed to make us forget the real sequel isn't coming. For this reason alone we applaud Spyborgs, even without having played a second of the game. Whether or not it's any good, however, remains to be seen.
Initially ...

You like going on quests, busting gems to gain mana for spells, buying items and all that fantasy crap that made an already addictive game downright irresistible, right? Thought so. And that's exactly why you're going to like ...

Last week Capcom revealed one of its strongest lineups in ages during the Captivate 08 event (we briefly talked about it on TalkRadar). The embargos have lifted and now we're able to say what we saw, what we played and what totally stole the show (it surprised the hell out of us, that's for sure). We'll be adding links throughout the day, so read on! ...
» Read MoreSince inventing the survival-horror genre 16 years ago, the Alone in the Dark series has been defined mainly by creeping around in dimly lit corridors and hoping something didn't lurch out of the shadows to gnaw your face off. The creators of the new Alone in the Dark, however, want you to know that crawling through claustrophobic spaces won't be the focus this time around - and to hammer that point home, they'll literally tear those spaces ...

Hot on the heels of Konami's Rock Revolution reveal last week, we have the first (video and) screenshots for Guitar Hero: World Tour. Guitar Hero: World Tour is being developed for Activision by Neversoft, the crew most famous for the Tony Hawk games and Guitar Hero III. World Tour will be the third game on the market to feature singer, guitar, bass and drums - apparently music is the new FPS. Guitars and mics are standard fare - it's the drum kit that deserves the most scrutiny, as it is the main way to tell the three games apart. Guitar Hero: World Tour's kit has three heads, two cymbal pads, and a kick, putting it snugly between Rock Band and Rock Revolution in terms of complexity. ...
FaceBreaker is the spearhead title in EA's new gaming 'brand', Freestyle. Freestyle is all about accessibilty and approachability, apparently, which translates into a cartoon boxing game that puts high value on 'old school' gameplay - which is what EA reckons everybody loves. But can we love FaceBreaker? ...
Midway is bringing TNA Impact! to the Wii a bit earlier than its opponent, THQ’s WWE SmackDown! vs Raw 2009. Clearly both are excited, what with each throwing in the exclamation point into their title. We’ve broken down both brawlers into distinct categories, and determined which looks to be the winner. All of this may change before release, but here’s how we call it so far. ...
