Wii Preview | Madden NFL 07
Wii is all about encouraging people to approach gaming with an open, unbiased mind. If Nintendo can slowly lure mothers and daughters away from motherly and daughterly things to play Nintendogs for hours on end, then surely Electronic Arts can do the same with Madden and sports-hating gamers. The game itself is already leaning that way, but the fast-paced minigames might make Madden NFL 07 for Wii an irresistible party game. How is this even possible? The Wii motion controls, that's how. ...

Wii Preview | Madden NFL 07
Take a look at your collection of games. Probably don't see any Madden games over there, do you? As either a major Nintendo fan or hardcore gamer, you likely scratch your head every August when the latest version dumps itself on the rabid sports crowd. Well, Madden NFL 07 for Wii might end up being the football game we all crowd ...

Wii Preview | Madden NFL 07
If you've been scouring the web for any information whatsoever on Madden NFL 07 for the Wii, you already know that the developers are rebuilding it around the unique, motion-sensitive "nunchuck" controller. We recently got a chance to see how far they've come since first showing the game at E3 in May, and we came away impressed. Whatever you want to do on the field, you mimic with the nunchuck and wand. Hike by flicking the controller back, pass by imitating a pass motion (pretend the wand is ...

Wii Preview | Madden NFL 07
EA is calling their new control scheme for Madden NFL 07 FreeMotion control... but we call it awesome. The Wii's nunchaku controller gets put to heavy use in the newest iteration for the Madden series and it has to be grabbed to be believed. A number of the movements of real football are aped by the FreeMotion system. When it's time to pass the ball, you have to use your right hand to first hike the ball by snapping your arms back and then throw by arcing your arm forward, mimicking a genuine ...

Wii Preview | MadWorld
Wii - MadWorld - MadWorld

When you’re watching a bloke getting a road sign impaled in his skull and he then staggers about with it sticking out like some grotesque piercing before he falls in a river, what’s not to laugh at? Wii has never seen anything quite like MadWorld. Only Scarface comes close for tongue-in-cheek, over-the-top violence, but not even Tony Montana gave people a rose bushing – this being repeatedly slamming someone into a wall of ...

Wii Preview | MadWorld

Publisher Sega just delivered the first scant details on MadWorld, Infinite Line, an unnamed game, and Bayonetta, the first four projects from new developer Platinum Games Inc. And yes, new games are announced almost every day, but this is special. Why? Because Platinum Games is made up of the men who invented cutting-edge classics like Resident Evil, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, Devil May Cry, and the mech-tacular Steel Battalion. Simply ...

Wii Preview | Major Minor's Majestic March
Wii - Major Minor's Majestic March - Major Minor's Majestic March Having produced Parappa the Rapper, the game that effectively defined the rhythm action genre on consoles, Japanese musician Masaya Matsuura and his company Nana-On-Sha have a well deserved reputation for innovative music titles. They also did the excellent Vib Ribbon and its equally unique, sadly Japan-only follow-ups Vib Ripple and Mojib Ribbon, so news of their first Wii game is guaranteed to make us prick up our ears. Major Minor’s ...

But for now, direct your eyes towards the review of the game youll never play.] Manhunt 2 is one of the best games on Wii. The astonishing level of brutality is an integral part of the experience, and probably the aspect that delighted fans and appalled ...

Wii Preview | Manhunt 2
If you spend much time looking at the internet, you already know that Manhunt 2 has been the subject of a lot of controversy of late, getting slapped with an ultra-prohibitive Adults Only rating stateside and being banned outright in most of Europe. As of this writing, it's unknown whether you'll ever get a chance to play through the blood-drenched saga of Dr. Daniel Lamb yourself, and you'll almost certainly never see it in its original, gloriously violent form. But we have, and the things ...
