Okami

Do disappointing controls mar the best game you've never played?

We really wanted to love Okami on Wii. We wanted to sing its praises and claim this was the version to play. The already vibrant graphics pop off your TV and sprint towards the fun center of your nerve stem. But we just can’t get overwhelmingly excited about the controls. A little more finagling on Ready at Dawn’s part could’ve made this the best option in town. Hell, just adding support for the GameCube and Classic controllers would make us happy. Look what that did for Smash Bros. Brawl.

Unfortunately, we just can’t recommend the Wii version as the best playing Okami even though it's "newer." If you've never played the PS2 version, then this might be the most amazing adventure you'll ever play - wonky controls or not. In any event, we sincerely hope Okami won't be forgotten a second time around.

You're wrong, Gamesradar. A is for drawing lines. Z is for drawing straight lines.

You're obsessed with this game everywhere else, but this review seems so negative. I asked for this game last Christmas but didn't get it... hopefully I will on my upcoming birthday...
