Edge writes: Amsterdam-based Playlogic on Wednesday posted higher sales and earnings figures for the second quarter ending June 30, thanks to sales of games including Obscure II for Wii. Q2 revenues rose 343 percent to $4.3 million, up from $1.1 million for the comparable quarter last year. The firm said that Dragon Hunters for DS and Simon the Sorcerer 4 for PC helped drive sales. The firm released seven titles during the first half of its fiscal year.

Ignition Entertainment Ltd., a worldwide publisher and developer of videogames, and co-publisher Playlogic today announced that Obscure: The Aftermath has reached Gold Master status! It is scheduled for release on March 25, 2008, for Wii home video game system from Nintendo ($29.99), PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system ($19.99) and PC ($14.99).

Today, Playlogic has announced that it will be releasing Obscure II for the PS2 and PC in Q3 2007 and for the Wii in Q4 2007. If you are into campy teen horror flicks and survival horror games, this game may just be for you, with a soundtrack performed by the Boston Symphonic Orchestra and the Paris Opera Children's Choir.
