Travis Touchdown and his beam katana of pure awesomeness will soon be slicing up smartphones. Yesterday, Marvelous AQL confirmed Goichi Suda (aka Suda 51) is in works to bring his over-the-top otaku action game to iOS and Android platforms, and will hit Japan via DeNA and Mobage devices.
Goichi Suda, the CEO of Grasshopper Manufacturer, hinted while at Eurogamer that there is a potential that the next No More Heroes game is in the works. While he refuses to completely confirm the rumor, he also refuses to state whether such a title would be on the Nintendo Wii, or the Wii U (or perhaps another console). Suda had this much to say:
Dual Pixels - One of the best action games on Wii, No More Heroes, will have a title releasing on mobile platforms in the future.
Shadows of the Damned developer Grasshopper Manufacture is home to game design man Suda 51, and he will definitely be created new IP, it's his first priority. His studio will be revisiting No More Heroes and Shadows of the Damned for sequels if enough fans want to see Travis or Garcia again; it's all about us.
During Grasshopper Manufacture's Grasstream 2 event Suda 51 commented on the possibility of No More Heroes 3, saying that would like to do another one... but not anytime soon.
Andriasang: Grasshopper's top creators speak about No More Heroes, Shadows of the Damned and more at charity event.
- Sine Mora not being in WiiWare is Digital Reality decision - Suda51 wasnt sure how charging the laser katana in No More Heroes would be received by fans, but everyone loved it - He believes you have to be able to take risks..... More at source.
Grasshopper Manufacture Inc. has announced a new weekly Grasshopper Podcast hosted by Grasshopper producer Esteban Salazar and community manager John Davis. The podcast will give fans a peek inside Grasshopper and some of the creative forces behind such games as Killer7 and No More Heroes.
Despite all of the loading time complaints, people are buying No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. Both versions of the HD port made it on Media Create's top ten sales list for the week of April 12.
JC Fletcher writes: We're not going to say that No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise is a hit, but those of us in constant fear of Marvelous running out of money can breathe a sigh of relief, as the remake has brought a little cash in (more considering that the game is a port and therefore probably less expensive to produce). In fact, both versions managed to make it into the Media Create top ten, with the PS3 version's 16,000 copies securing a #7 position and the Xbox 360 version's 15,000 copies at #8.
