SEGA Europe announced this morning that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams for the Wii has been given a new release date of January 2008 in Europe. SEGA also unveiled plans to reawaken the Artificial Life (A-Life) feature in NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams, which gives gamers the freedom to oversee and develop their own sandbox environment enabling them to capture, raise, and even combine the inhabitants from the world of Nightopia.
Sega announced today that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will be landing on the Wii this holiday season. The title was originally given a Winter 07 release date and many thought the game was delayed into 2008. Luckily Sega put those nightmares to rest today and announced that the title will be released on December 18.
"Bizarrely, tellingly and somewhat amusingly, the Tokyo Game Show demo of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams makes no use of motion controls whatsoever. The analog stick on the nunchuck controls movement, the A-button speeds you up and.... well, that's pretty much it."
Sega announced today that their upcoming cult-revival NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams will feature a two-player mode and online support. Though neither has been outlined in detail yet, the combination of announcements would seem to indicate that the two-player mode will be online. Also announced was the return of the A-Life feature, which will allow players to influence the environment of the game.
The sequel IGN's been anticipating for over a decade now is almost set for release! Sega Japan's website now has a 12/13 release date listed for Nights: Journey of Dreams, the Wii sequel to the classic Sega Saturn fan favorite. The game will cost 6,800 yen in Japan.
Word has it that NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams isn't quite ready to wake up. According to NiGHTS fan site, the game is apparently delayed until Q1 2008.
