"Earlier this month I wrote about an NHL 2K9 Tournament taking place at Future Shop stores across Canada. A tipster informed me today that on the registration page a new message has appeared indicating that Future Shop has "unfortunately" had some technical difficulties capturing entries submitted between the dates of Oct. 3rd - Oct. 6th.

It looks like Future Shop will be still accepting entries for people who may be affected by the technical difficulties. People who filled out the entry form between these dates are asked to resubmit their information using the online form."

Then we picked up the Wii Remote and Nunchuk and said “oh yeah – riiiiiiiight.” Eventually, though, it had to happen, as simple math (zillions of Wiis sold = chance for money) dictates that at least one of the two NHL license holders would take a shot at the fastest game on ice. ...

No Modeled Faces For Coaches In NHL 2K9 (News)

2K Sports did not even bother with modeling faces for the head coaches in NHL 2K9. While they went the extra mile to include the faces for NBA coaches for NBA 2K9, hockey coaches simply did not rate the effort. According to 2K Sports marketing coordinator Andrew Blumberg, "Most hockey coaches are unrecognizable to casual fans to be perfectly honest."

Das Gamer set up a quiz called Canadian Men In Suits to find out whether gamers could tell the difference between a hockey coach and a Canadian Premier and put 2K's theory to the test.
