Majesco Entertainment Company has announced details of its expanded European operation, which has been established to provide direct routes to retail within the UK. Based in Bristol, Majesco Europe will oversee the marketing, distribution and sales of a product catalogue bristling with mainstream titles on handheld and home console formats, with its first games due to launch in May 2009.
Majesco has released a slew of new screenshots for Wonder World Amusement Park, a Wii game scheduled for release this summer.
More a collection of theme park mini-games rather than a clone of Theme Park, Wonder World includes thirty different mini-games that mirror classic carnival rides.

Developer Destineer has announced the December 9th release of a Wii version of their Nintendo DS and online puzzle game WordJong Party. Described as a mix of the classic Chinese tile game and the popular western word game, the Wii title looks like it may offer up an innovative blend of both. Part Majong, part Scrabble, WordJong Party, "the smash online and DS puzzle game is coming to the Wii December 9th with all-new multiplayer modes, gorgeous new visuals and more!"
Developer 2D Boy has branded a week-long 'pay what you want' promotion for PC and WiiWare title World Of Goo "a huge success" after the game sold 57,000 copies at an average price of $2.03.

After opening their online shop for the Xbox Live Arcade a few weeks ago, Amazon is apparently doing the same for WiiWare. The first WiiWare game to be sold on Amazon is World of Goo.
IGN recently ran an article detailing the amount of money independent game developers could possibly make, in which they cited 2D Boy and their successful game World of Goo. At least, that's what the article was supposed to be about.
