Wii - Wacky Races: Crash & Dash - Wacky Races: Crash & Dash headed to the Wii, NDS Eidos has revealed Wacky Races: Crash & Dash will be careening on to the Wii and Nintendo DS in June 2008.

Wacky Races: Crash & Dash is inspired by Hanna-Barbera cartoon and has been licensed from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This action racing game features the crazy cars and characters from the TV series, including Peter Perfect's Turbo Terrific, the Ant Hill Mob's Bullet Proof Bomb, Penelope Pitstop, and Dick Dastardly's Mean Machine, helped by his sidekick Muttley of course.

Players will race across various cross country rallies from the TV series, all the while keeping a look out for traps and trying to collect Wacky Widgets, as they struggle to win and claim the title of World's Wackiest Racer.

Wii - Wall-E - WALL-E to be first Arabic-localized game on current gen systems Ars Technica reports: "WALL-E, aside from probably being the biggest family movie of the year, is also making waves in the video game industry by being the first localized video game to hit the current generation of consoles in the Middle East. THQ and Pluto Games revealed that the movie's tie-in game will actually have versions released in Arabic in an effort to appeal to gamers around the region."

Wii - Wall-E - Analyst: THQ Management Not Standing Still Gamedaily.biz writes: "Lazard Capital Markets' Colin Sebastian cautions that THQ's IP is a big risk, but he believes the publisher's management is taking the right approach to costs and product strategy.

Lazard Capital Markets recently hosted investor meetings with publisher THQ and apparently came away more optimistic about the company's long-term prospects. Analyst Colin Sebastian said that THQ management is "not standing still" and is "focused on improving execution."

"...we believe management is taking a number of steps to address recent product and financial underperformance," he said. "Improved control over the company's cost structure and better product management should generate more consistent performance, in our opinion."

THQ recently delayed one of its more high profile games, Saints Row 2. At the time, Janco Partners' Mike Hickey questioned the "credibility foundation" of THQ and whether Saints Row can truly be considered a franchise."

Wii - Wall-E - THQ blames Nintendo for poor performance

THQ President Brian Farrell has cited Nintendo's successful first-party software as the reason their kids' portfolio did not meet expectations last quarter.

In a Q4 earnings call, Farrell said that Nintendo had made the kids' videogames market "extremely competitive" and that was why THQ's "traditionally strong kids' business did not meet expectations," according to casualgaming.biz.
