Platinum Games chose Wii as the platform for its ultra-violent, black and white blood bath, MadWorld, because "it feels like a game that is at home" on Nintendo's console. Hmmm.
Speaking to CVG Platinum Games' Atsushi Inaba said the pick up and play nature of the controversial action game made it a good fit for Wii.
"We're really interested in the Wii platform so we wanted to create a really cool and stylish game for that," said Inaba.

"SEGA Wii game MadWorld will "spoil the family fun image" of the console, according to Mediawatch-UK, a British organisation that campaigns for decency in television, games and films.
"I hope the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) will view this with concern and decide it should not be granted a classification," John Beyer, director of Mediawatch-UK, told the Mail Online.
"What the rest of world does is up to them. We need to ensure that modern and civilised values take priority rather than killing and maiming people.
"It seems a shame that the game's manufacturer have decided to exclusively release this game on the Wii," said Beyer. "I believe it will spoil the family fun image of the Wii.""

Sega has unveiled a whole bunch of release dates for its upcoming line-up, including Sonic Unleashed, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Space Siege.

Director of upcoming gore-fest from SEGA and Platinum games details why such a game is a good fit for Wii.
At SEGA's showcase event for its four-game deal with Platinum Games (the studio formerly known as Seeds, created by ex-Clover Studio staff) Mad World director Shigenori Nishikawa revealed why the decision was made to develop such a violent game for Nintendo's family-oriented console.
"We felt that the Wii Marketplace had too many of the same type of games - there was something missing in the line-up," stated Nishikawa. "That's why we created such a game as Mad World."
