Hot on the heels of the recent announcement of its tie-up with a North American developer for the development of a new real time strategy game, Square Enix announced today another western tie-up. The company will be releasing Frontier Developments' WiiWare platformer Lost Winds to the Japanese market.
Speaking to VG247 at Develop, Frontier's David Braben confirmed that there are no plans in place to bring WiiWare smash LostWinds to either Live or PSN, but that the UK developer has other plans for downloadable 360 and PS3 content.

David Braben has slammed British gaming degrees, claiming that developers are finding it increasingly hard to find UK graduates looking to enter the industry.
"95% of video gaming degrees are simply not fit for purpose," Braben told the BBC. "Without some sort of common standard, like Skillset accreditation, these degrees are a waste of time for all concerned."

GamesIndustry.biz writes: "Nintendo of Europe has revealed that Frontier Developments' LostWinds is the current most-downloaded title from WiiWare in Europe - followed by Gameloft's TV Show King and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life As A King from Square Enix.
On the day that Nintendo's WiiWare service launches across Europe, developer of LostWinds David Braben has told GamesIndustry.biz of the "exceptional" response the game has received only a week after it went live in the US.
Frontier Developments is already working on a sequel to its WiiWare game LostWinds, despite it only being on sale in the US for just one day.
