"A new book has popped up on Amazon.com titled The Legend of Zelda and Philosophy. It will be edited by Luke Cuddy and will be released on November 28. The Legend of Zelda is the first video game to get the treatment from any of the philosophy publishers. However, Popular Culture and Philosophy also has World of Warcraft and Philosophy lined up for release sometime in 2009."

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Nintendo Considering Wii Balance Board Games Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto did give a few hints on future plans in an interview in the latest issue of Famitsu.

First, the Balance Wii Board, the peripheral that's included with Wii Fit. The magazine noted that Wii Fit has been quite the success story for Nintendo so far. To this, Miyamoto responded that if the game sees success overseas as well, Nintendo may end up releasing separate titles that make use of the peripheral.

The magazine also asked Miyamoto the inevitable question about sequels, and he gave the expected answer. In case you have to hear to to believe it, Miyamoto is indeed interested in making a Super Mario Galaxy sequel. He's also thinking about the next Zelda title.

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Marathon Zelda Gamers at it Again You may remember last weekend when Kotaku posted about the guys at cameronbanga.com who tried to make it through four Zelda games in 48 hours. Due to some glitches, they weren't able to squeeze in all four games but still managed to raise over $1200 for Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity. So, in an attempt to make up what they couldn't finish, the boys are at it again but this time they have given themselves eleven hours to complete Twilight Princess. The marathon gaming session will again benefit Child's Play and will be the first in a series of charity driven weekend gaming sessions.

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - CES 2008: Zelda-ish Wii Remote Sword and Shield January 7, 2008 - A half dozen vendors at CES 2008 in Las Vegas this week were showing off a variety of accessories for Nintendo's Wii console, some of them more licensed and legal than others. In the photos below, you can see IGN's own Nintendo monkey Matt Casamassina going hands-on with not-Zelda-but-Zelda-like sword and shield attachments for the Wii remote and nunchuk, courtesy ezGear. These are different from similar sword and shield attachments because they are made to look like wood.

Wii - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - 1UP confirms reason for GameSpot editor was fired 1UP confirms through their own source that Jeff Gerstmann was fired for his negative review of Eidos Interactive's Kane & Lynch.

According to 1UP, Gerstmann already came under fired from Sony for scoring Ratchet & Clank Future a 7.5, for which he as the (former) GameSpot editorial director was responsible for overseeing and defending.

1UP's source also points to CNET's new management under the new executive VP Stephen Colvin as the real catalyst for the firing.
