Wii News from N4G | Kid Icarus - Virtual Console
Wii - Kid Icarus - Virtual Console - Kid Icarus at E3 2008 In a listing on e3.net, it's mentioned that Kid Icarus for the Nintendo Wii will make an appearence during E3 in a couple of weeks time.

"Released way back in 1987 for Nintendo Entertainment System, Kid Icarus remains one of the most challenging video games out there. A 1991 sequel for Nintendo's Game Boy failed to do much for the series, which has wallowed as nothing more than a fanboy dream remake ever since. Until now. Kid Icarus Wii has moved from fantasy to reality and that's a very good thing."

Wii News from N4G | Kid Icarus - Virtual Console
Wii - Kid Icarus - Virtual Console - Kid Icarus on Wii indirectly revealed by IGN Joystiq writes:'When fans debate which of their plentiful wells Nintendo will be returning to for their next big title, Kid Icarus is always a popular suspicion. Now, IGN's Matt Casamassina has basically confirmed that it's on the way to Wii. On episode 7 of the IGN Nintendo Voice Chat podcast Casamassina says, "Of course [Nintendo is] going to have some E3 surprises. You know, Kid Icarus, for crying out loud, how many times do we have to say Kid Icarus? Kid Icarus is coming for crying out loud." '

Wii News from N4G | Kid Icarus - Virtual Console
Wii - Kid Icarus - Virtual Console - Rumor: Kid Icarus making a comeback Joystiq via IGN writes: "Pit's feature role in Super Smash Bros. Brawl could be a precursor to the Kid Icarus franchise's triumphant resurrection, or at least IGN seems to think so. On their latest Nintendo Voice Chat podcast, Matt Casamassina and the gang discuss Reggie's recent comments about a holiday blockbuster to be announced at E3, and speculate that it could be the new Kid Icarus that they "know" is in the works.

Now, how Casassamassassassina and crew can be so absolutely sure that Kid Icarus is Wii-bound is beyond us. We'll personally apply a liberal amount of skeptical sauce to this story, although it's also worth mentioning that the IGN team actually hopes Nintendo's E3 reveal isn't the Kid Icarus game they magically already know about"

Wii News | Kid Icarus - Virtual Console
Some people say you can have too much of a good thing, but we say they can bugger right off. A cake is good, right? But are two cakes bad? No, theyre just more cake, and we like cake so well take all we can get. Om nom nom. In gaming terms, the only thing better than a great videogame is a great videogame that acts as the start of a great franchise. Final Fantasy, Burnout, Super Mario Bros… We love them not only because theyre great but also because of what they later gave us. The only ...

Wii News from N4G | The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga
Wii - The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga - 411mania's Release List for the Week of March 9, 2009 411mania gives a rundown on this week's game releases. Highlights include Avalon Code, Mana Khemia: Student Alliance, Samurai Shodown Anthology, and Docomodake BOING!

Avalon Code (DS)
Avalon Code is an action RPG created by Matrix Software, the developer of Alundra for the PS1 and, more recently, the co-developer of the Final Fantasy III and IV remakes for the DS. Like in many RPGs, the looming end of the world is what drives Avalon Code's story. What's different here is the fact that your mission isn't to stop the end from happening. Instead, you've been tasked with scanning all that is good in the world into The Book of Prophecies so that when the next world is created, only the things that are worthy are brought forth. Once something has been scanned, you can change its properties as you see fit by tinkering with its parameters. If there's a monster that you think is too strong, change its attributes to make it weak. Want to turn that regular sword into a flaming one? Add fire to its code. At the very least, this mechanic makes Avalon Code one of the most unique action RPGs on the DS and something to look out for if you're tired of all the remakes that the system has been seeing.

Mana Khemia: Student Alliance (PSP)
This is a port of Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis, a turn-based RPG/school sim which was originally released last year for the PS2. It is considered the spiritual successor to the Atelier Iris series as it employs many of the conventions found in those games. Many of those who are familiar with the series consider Mana Khemia to be far superior to its predecessors in most respects save for the story (Atelier Iris 2 usually takes the cake in that department). The game was developed by Gust, a company that is well-known for its item-crafting systems and character development. I recently played through Ar tonelico II, so can attest to the company's ability to make item-crafting fun and ...
