Rising Star will release its unique Wii horror game, Ju-On: The Grudge, on Friday October 23rd.

The company is billing the game as a 'fright-sim', in which gamers themselves control the thrills in the hopes of terrifying the other players.

"A loud, crowded dining room, cozily tucked away in the top floor of a dimly lit Japanese Brasserie is probably the worst place to demo a horror game. However, the PR folks from Xseed seemed unfazed last night, relishing the opportunity to preview Ju-On: The Grudge, a First-Person Horror Adventure adaptation of the Ju-On films.

But no matter how hard we tried to find terror in the game, best described an odd concoction of Far Cry 2, Silent Hill and Heavy Rain, the more we were distracted by the snapping of chopsticks and clink of beer bottles.

What did manage to play was Ju-On's slight humor. After failing a mission, two meters popped up with a brief, insulting message."

The movie-based "JU-ON: The Grudge" videogame is scheduled for release in October 2009 in North America by Xseed Games. As well as previously announced in Q4 2009 in PAL territories by Rising Star Games. It'll be a "haunted house simulator" adventure meant to scare you all the way through.

Rising Star Games have today officially confirmed that JU-ON: The Grudge is in development exclusively for the Wii, and scheduled for release in Europe during Q4 2009. Based on the classic Japanese horror movie, JU-ON: The Grudge is a 'haunted house simulator' where accessibility and instant scares are a highlight over other game aspects. Original movie creator, Takashi Shimizu, is heavily involved in the development of the game and serves as a creative consultant.

Developed by Ubisoft Paris, Just Dance challenges all those who like to groove and entertains spectators along the way. To be released worldwide on November 19th, Just Dance features a fairly robust tracklist including 32 famous tunes from the 60's to today.
