Natsume, a worldwide developer and publisher of family-oriented video games, announced today that Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility for the Nintendo Wii has officially shipped to retail for an MSRP of $49.99. The launch continues the ten-year anniversary celebration of the popular Harvest Moon franchise.

Harvest Moon creator and Marvelous Entertainment President Yasuhiro Wada told Game Informer Online that the next Harvest Moon title will take the series online. However, Wada did not say on what platform the game will be. Game Informer speculates a Wii or DS version is quite likely.
Following rumours yesterday that Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for the Wii may contain online features, it was today confirmed by Rising Star Games that the game will NOT feature Wi-Fi gameplay.
A recent update to the official Harvest Moon page has hinted that the upcoming farming simulation title will use the Wii's Wi-Fi service. The website updated showing the official boxart for Magical Melody which included the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection logo!
