JPS Writes: "I recently got some time to sit down with the final build of Dead Space: Extraction for the Nintendo Wii. I finished the first chapter and figured I'd write up a quick impression of the game thus far..."
Vooks Writes: Due to originally hit Aussie stores on the 1st of October and in America on the 29th of September, Dead Space Extraction has hit Aussie EB Games stores early. When the EB Games site this morning listed the game as out, we did a little digging, and indeed the game has arrived at stores 10 days early and is on sale now. We rang four stores and two of them have it already (Victoria, Queensland), another will have it by the end of the day (WA) and one hadn't heard of it (New South Wales). EB Games has also confirmed that it is out to us via their Twitter account.
VG247: Dead Space Extraction has more than 500 percent more dialogue in it than the original game, senior designer John Calhoun confirmed in the video you can see after the break.
Dr Jens Uwe Intat, European VP at Electronic Arts, has revealed to GamesIndustry.biz that the performance of forthcoming Visceral follow-up, Dead Space: Extraction, could influence the company's decision to create mature-content games on the Nintendo Wii in the future.
HellDescent writes: "The on rails shooter prequel to EA's Dead Space has now gone gold. The gore fest shooter Dead Space: Extraction is being printed onto discs as you read this and will be available September 29th. In other related news, here is the latest video doc/trailer which shows how psychological aspects are being integrated into gameplay. For instance, your character is one of the few who can work through The Marker's maddening effects, but that doesn't mean he or she won't be affected to some degree. You will see imaginary creatures, characters and may not even be in the room you think you're in. Crazy stuff."
Electronic Arts and Visceral Games have announced that their upcoming Wii exclusive game, Dead Space Extraction has gone gold, getting ready for replication and distribution. This game is a prequel of the award-winning PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game, Dead Space. This time around, you will be shooting the Necromorphs on rails from a first-person perspective, instead of third-person perspective. Hopefully, this adult themed shooting game will be able to have better financial success that previous Mature rated games on the Wii.
Many fearing that this on-rails shooter will be a shallow play through, think again. Today producer Steve Papoutsis held a Q&A about the game and answered this question by revealing some secrets about the game.
Dead Space producer Richard Briggs has hinted that players might want to stick around to the end credits of Extraction if they want to see what the future holds for the series.
