Wii - Call of Duty: World at War - PETA Respond To Call of Duty Statement Speaking to IncGamers, PETA has rubbished any claims that the depiction of Activision's recent Call of Duty game (World at War), is anything but historic.

"Despite Activision's claims that its games are authentic, unlocking a 'reward' that allows you to unleash a pack of attack dogs on enemies does not accurately reflect the history of World War II. It's a depiction of violence towards animals for the sake of being 'cool'."

Wii - Call of Duty: World at War - MCV Industry Excellence Awards 2009 Finalists Announced Taking place on Thursday April 23rd at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London, this year's MCV Industry Excellence Awards will be the most hotly-contested ever, with 17 accolades up for grabs, across a diverse range of categories covering the entire industry.

Nintendo, EA, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Sega and Activision will battle it out for the Games Publisher Award, whilst individual titles Guitar Hero World Tour, GTA IV, FIFA 09, Fallout 3, Wii Fit and Call of Duty: World At War compete for Game Campaign.

This latest one measured consumers' reactions to 30 ads that were in-market from October through December 2008. The ads were from top video game publishers such as Activision, Disney Interactive, Electronic Arts, Microsoft, MTV Games, Nintendo, Sony and Ubisoft.

Wii - Call of Duty: World at War - Why BAFTA included COD4 in 2008 Awards Gamezine: BAFTA explains the inclusion of the 2007 title, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, in the 2008 Video Game BAFTA Awards, as well as the reasoning behind the limited nominations for Metal Gear Solid 4.

If you have a gander at the released nominations for the 2008 BAFTA Video Game Awards, you might find it odd that the game with the most nominations is Infinity Ward's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - a 2007 game. This meant that 2008's Call of Duty: World at War was missing from the list.
