Wii - Call of Duty 3 - Exclusive PS3, 360, and Wii games compared Hype unique controls, superior online play, and massive disc storage all you want; Siliconera reminds us that it's all about the games when selling a system by comparing and numbering exclusive titles per next-generation console. From the article: "Another arguable point is that all of the Wii's titles are 'gameplay exclusive.' Since the Wii has a its own control scheme, Call of Duty 3 is going to play quite differently on the Wii than it is on the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. Will this cause gamers to purchase two versions of the same game? "

The investigatory-journalism notes that the Xbox 360 offers 48 exclusive games with the help of a one-year head start (48% of which are first-party), the PS3 has a total of 35 games (51% of which are first-party), and Wii represents with 40 titles (35% of which are first-party). Wii News from N4G | Call of Duty 3
Wii - Call of Duty 3 - Call of Duty 3 dated for the UK Activision has confirmed the UK release dates for Call of Duty 3. The game will arrive on the Xbox 360 on November 10, followed by a PlayStation 2 version on November 24, and the Wii version on December 1 - a week before the UK launch of the Wii. The PlayStation 3 version will launch with the system next year.

It's not unusual for launch software to be released prior to the console, and with Call of Duty 3 likely to be one of the Wii's biggest sellers, buyers have an extra week to pick the game up and be ready for launch.

The Xbox 360 release of Call of Duty 3 starts an impressive month of shooters for the system. A week later Microsoft's Gears of War lands in the UK, followed by Rainbow Six Vegas the week after.
