An interesting image from the 2008 Club Nintendo calendar could suggest a December release for Animal Crossing Wii. ...
Nintendo's financial report reveals that Animal Crossing, Wii Music, Disaster: Day of Crisis, Super Mario Stadium Family Baseball, and a new Kirby title are all planned for Wii and 2008 in Japan. Mario Kart Wii is also scheduled for release in spring 2008.
Hi Wii fans, this is a pair of nuggets that TOP Secret-Blog has for you. EDGE Magazine published an article about the upcoming Animal Crossing for Wii, and they wrote that this one is going to be an MMO. Well, that's truth. This game is being created as one of the premier Wii Online experiences and it's definitely an MMO. Worried about the lack of hard drive on Wii? Don't be. Somebody is telling me that a Wii + Hard Drive is indeed planed to appear when the release of this title is ready (Q4 2008). Also, people can still use SD cards to save their data (A 2GB SD Card is going to be packed with this Animal Crossing, you can count on that).
Animal Crossing for the Wii will be an MMO/social networking title. It's no great surprise ¿ in a few short years, Animal Crossing has become one of Nintendo's most-loved and top selling franchises (over seven million copies sold), particularly in Japan. Nintendo refers to the title as a 'communications game' rather than a videogame, and playing already depends on real-world timekeeping, weather patterns, social conventions, and above all else economic interactions. In almost every way, Animal Crossing has always been the perfect MMO concept, and this development is simply a fulfilment of that promise.

If user-to-user communication is restricted in the Parental Controls settings of your Wii console, you will be unable to participate in this offer.
