Survival horror can be a lot of hard work, especially when there's no light relief to break up the gore-filled barrage of trouser-filling frights. So just as the movie world has Scream and The Faculty to have fun with the formula, so gaming has Obscure - and we've been given hands-on access to a nearly finished PS2 build of its sequel, Obscure II. The game's unique in that its co-operative two-player mode runs for the entire game. We were impressed with the sheer number of dialogue lines as

Oct 23, 2007 It all makes sense. Okami was brilliant on PS2, its lush visuals and dreamy atmosphere combining to excellent effect and helping to make it one of the console's greatest games. Even the 'draw shape/line to trigger attack/event' gameplay, which could have been awkward, worked adequately with the analogue sticks. But on Wii, the paintbrush now commanded with a flick of the Wiimote, Okami comes together like a masterpiece. At least, we expect it to. Our first look comprised of the

Okami director Hideki Kamiya has expressed his feelings on not being credited on the Wii port of his game, saying he feels 'dejected.'

It was revealed earlier this month that the original end credits have been removed in the Wii version, leaving both Kamiya and his staff at the now dissolved Clover studios unnamed.

Posting on his new company blog, he said: "I really don't know what under pretext the credits were cut... What do

American readers will have to wait a little bit longer to show off their artistic leanings in Okami, as developer Capcom has told Gamespot that the title has been delayed by three weeks to April 15. Capcom gave no explanation as to why the title was put back, but fingers are being pointed at developer Ready at War, who's devoting its resources to the PSP's God of War: Chains of Olympus, due this week in the US.We're more concerned with why

Okami is one of PS2's best adventure games in our opinion and if designer Hideki Kamiya has anything to do with it, there'll be more epic wolf soon. Kamiya has a sequel in mind, and has revealed that it's something he'd really like to do. But unfortunately for Okami nuts, it's not his decision to make, so his hands are ultimately tied for the time being according to Kotaku. Meanwhile, Capcom's Kenji Infane is considering porting the PS2 title to Wii - something which had been rumored and

18th Dec, 2007 There are some things that developers and publishers just don't want you to know. And given the unnaturally high number of game announcements, hardware revelations, industry shake-ups, and all round cool things going on this year, they've wanted you to not know a lot during 2007. Thankfully though, the internet exists, and thus nothing is sacred. That's the eternal irony of the games industry. It's a business which tries to shroud itself in secrecy, but whose patrons congregate

For some reason, adding a little butthole asterisk makes adorable animal mascots like a million times cuter. Why? Maybe it makes them more relatable and real, a reminder that just like us, they must poop. For a perfect example, see Sanrio's Pom Pom Muffin (he's Pom Pom Purin's hamster friend).

With or without asterisk though, this Chibiterasu plushie posted on Capcom Unity looks enviably huggable... more adorable pics inside!

Guillermo Del Toro, director of such popular and conspicuously arty movies as Pan's Labyrinth and Hellboy II: The Golden Army, has weighed in on the debate that will never, ever be settled to everyone's satisfaction, proclaiming that of freaking course games are art and anybody who thinks otherwise is a freaking moron. More or less...

Capcom has shared some smoking images of what just might be the most sought after piece of swag at this year’s Comic-Con. You can thank artist Gerald de Jesus and Iam8bit for producing this sick, Okami t-shirt, done up in the style of ultra cheesy truck stop wolf shirts. The shirt is a rare item. Only 500 were made, but if you’re at Comic-Con, you can win one in a raffle...

We already showed off the awesome Japanese limited edition Okamiden package yesterday, but it seems Capcom isn’t done delivering awesome collectibles of GamesRadar’s favorite underappreciated wolf goddess. Sadly, much like the Okamiden collector’s edition, this gorgeous polystone statue looks like it may never be officially available outside of Japan...
