Activision's latest project with Dreamworks Animation, Dreamworks Super Star Kartz, is a pretty canny bit of teamwork indeed. A “Z” where the “S” should go? Check. An all-star line-up in undersized go-karts? Check. Shrek? Oh, you best believe that's a check. But before you fire off a snarky “meh” in the new title's direction, consider this: between people who were young when these things were first in vogue (and hence massively susceptible to nostalgia) and people who are young now (and hence massively susceptible to Shrek), this thing has the potential to appeal to everyone...

GameStop will soon be carrying Apple devices, including iPads, iPhones, and iPods. This week the retailer began accepting iOS devices as trade-ins for in-store credit, which is likely a method of phasing in used products before introducing new devices. GameStop made the announcement Apple's devices would be sold in its stores during a trade show in Las Vegas last week...

Shortly after yesterday's annoucement that Dragon Quest X will be coming to Wii and Wii U, the next round of news hit: DQX is likely to have a monthly usage fee. A spec sheet found on the new Dragon Quest portal site lists both “price” and “usage fee” as TBA, according to Andriasang's translation...

These days everyone wants something for nothing. So by offering a 100% legal and absolutely not likely to see you going to prison for stealing a bag of rice from your local Co-op way of getting free stuff, we're basically operating as a public service.

We've teamed up with GamesMaster, Golden Joysticks and Alienware (yay, official awards sponsor!) to offer a prize that will avert the need for looting and pillaging Curry’s in the run up to Ch****mas. Keep reading for the full list of desirable items.

It’s been years since Square Enix first revealed it was going to release the tenth mainline Dragon Quest game on Wii, and today at a special press event in Japan the public got to see the game for the first time. With a title that roughly translates to Dragon Quest X Online: Rise of the Five Tribes, the game makers reconfirmed it was coming to Wii, but dropped the big surprise it would be hitting the Wii U as well...

Square Enix has announced that it will be revealing the next Dragon Quest game Monday, September 5 in Japan. The news will be broadcast live through the publisher's Ustream channel  at 2 p.m. Japan time (1 a.m. Eastern time) and we have a sneaking suspicion what it’ll be about...

Sledgehammer Games, an indie-style satellite studio founded in 2009 under Activision, has officially canceled the third-person Call of Duty that was put on hold in June of this year. The studio decided to shift their talents away from the unnamed CoD when it became apparent that Modern Warfare 3 would need additional help, which Sledgehammer was more than happy to provide...

With less than a month until the late-September release of X-Men: Destiny, Silicon Knights' mutant action-RPG, you've probably seen all the teasers and promo stills you can muster interest for. This behind-the-scenes look at the title takes a gander at the motion-capture and voice-acting work required to craft a game which allows you, in the words of head Knight Dennis Dyack, “to interact in very deep and meaningful ways within the universe.” Well, that's what we all want out of life, after all...

Remember the goofy old days when virtual reality was the future and everyone would soon be wearing goofy visors to control their computers? Why do you think that never panned out? It’s possible that the technology was ahead of its time – the most advanced graphics back then were untextured polygons running at fifteen frames per second. It didn’t exactly make you feel like you were inside some virtual world. The other problem was that the equipment was way, way too bulky to be practical for home use. Sony came by our offices the other day to show us something...

Want to receive all 10 of your 3DS Ambassador NES games one day early? There's a hack for that. Rather, it's more like a back door. Look, the point is it's possible to download a pile of a free games before the official September 1st Ambassador Program launch date and we know how to do it, OK?
