Need for Speed Carbon

When a sequel's not a sequel, the streets have no name, and the sun never shines - thank goodness the racing still kicks ass

Naturally, the Wii version looks like a current-gen effort, something made all the more noticeable when the overall smoothness starts dipping when too much action hits the screen. Sorry to say it, but the Wii version's at the bottom of the list for Carbon. It's not redefining the street racing genre, but at times it can still hit a sweet spot blend of intensity, danger and style.
You'll love
  • Tons of control options
  • Wide selection of sweet rides
  • Scads of customization options
You'll hate
  • Not too much new stuff
  • Repetitive wingman chatter
  • No multiplayer
