Metroid Prime 3 for Wii

[Wii] Corruption gets the full remote treatment

Wednesday 10 May 2006
The helmeted heroine Samus will make her Wii debut in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption as Nintendo's intergalactic shooter blasts into the next generation.

Dark Samus and her space pirates are continuing their evil deeds by corrupting as many planets as they can with Phazon seeds. So it's up to bounty hunter Samus to explore these alien landscapes, destroy the seeds and deal with the space pirate threat.

Metroid Prime 3 intends to take first-person shooting to a whole new level with the use of the Wii remote and nunchaku; the movement of Samus will be controlled with the analogue stick on the nunchaku, while the remote will be used for aiming and firing.

This new control system will allow Samus to shoot while diving mid air or running at full pelt, and will also be flexible enough to be used for a couple of Metroid mainstays - the Grapple Beam and the Morph Ball.
