During E3 last week, Assassin's Creed was the most popular game of the show among the readers of IGN. Ubisoft's upcoming stealth/action game beat out the mighty Halo 3 (second place) and Activision's impressive Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (third) in reader popularity. Of the three platforms Assassin's will call home, the Xbox 360 version is by far the most popular, followed by the PlayStation 3 and PC iterations, respectively.

It should be noted that Assassin's Creed was the most popular cross-platform title, while Halo 3 was the most popular exclusive.

Seems like Nintendo may have some big announcements in store for Super Mario Galaxy, like the fact that it no longer goes by that name.

David Rodriguez discovered today that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has mysteriously vanished from Nintendo's master list of games on their company website.

This is suspicious news in and of itself, but considering that video game mega-con E3 is just around the corner, SWL are willing to bet they're planning to drop the bomb and a new name.

Though this little tidbit was technically included in our last story, regarding The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass' release date, it was only a mere footnote, and certainly deserves an entry all its own. Tucked away within that press release, Nintendo of America sneakily revealed that Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Nintendo Wii has been delayed.

Back in May, Nintendo sent out a schedule of their upcoming Nintendo Wii and DS release dates, and one of the big headlines of that story was Corruption being dated for August 20th, 2007. However, in its latest press release, the date has been pushed back to August 27th. It isn't a major delay, to be sure, but for those of you planning your entire summers around this first-party first-person shooter, it is certainly need-to-know information.

Nintendo of America has just released a Press Release, announcing all of their release dates for Summer in the US. The Biggest title is of course, Metroid Prime 3, which will come out on August 20.
