Metroid Prime 3 is followed by The Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass, making it a Nintendo top two on the multiplatform chart.
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption has flown into number one spot in the Wii chart during its first week of release...
The New York Times report on October 16, 2007:
Nintendo of Europe have announced the Metroid Prime 3 preview channel for Samus' upcoming Wii outing later this month:
IGN Stars' first ever Showdown let readers decide the winner: Halo's Master Chief versus Metroid Prime's Samus Aran.
Of course, you may want to substitute the word "redesigns" for "fixes," depending on how compulsive your scanning was. In his Level Up blog, Newsweek's N'Gai Croal has posted a visual illustration of a special Wii remote he would have liked to find in the Metroid Prime 3 box. Unhappy with the placement of the plus and minus buttons -- both of which are frequently used in the game -- Croal proposes that the new kidney shaped configuration would add up to less limited controls. As he tells MTV's Stephen Totilo following their lengthy dissection of the game, "I know you'll agree with me."
WiiFanboy Reports: "We love Metroid Prime 3 and all, but perhaps the best thing about the game is that it inspired this jaw-dropping Wii mod from the guy responsible for the equally jaw-dropping Zelda DS Lite and the astounding Zelda Wii case mod. Basically, we've developed TMJ from looking at Ramon's mods."
The newest edition of the British games magazine EDGE has just hit stores and first readers already posted all the review scores on the internet. This months edition contains reviews of some big titles like Halo 3, PGR4, Metroid Prime 3, Lair, SKATE, Stranglehold, SEGA Rally and Eternal Sonata.
In a new interview with Retro Studios, the developer behind the just released Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and the previous Metroid Prime titles, says that they're "really excited" about the next title they're going to make, and that fans of the previous Metroid Prime's "won't be disappointed".
The October issue of the American gaming magazine Game Informer has just landed in stores and all the review scores are already found on the internet. In this months' issue titles like Guitar Hero III, Metroid Prime 3, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, SKATE, Medal of Honor and tons of other games have all been reviewed.
Nintendo and Retro Studio are messing with your minds, as Nintendo tells CVG it's not developing a 2D Metroid game, despite hints in the latest Wii game, Metroid Prime 3.
Sales across the board were quite interesting this week. Compared to last week, hardware sales were up significantly, and the three current generation consoles (Wii/PS3/360) saw pretty big shakeups in their top ten software for the week:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption bests former overall sales leader BioShock in its first week of release, becoming the week's single best-selling software title across all platforms in the United States. With few major Wii releases on the horizon, Corruption's place atop the chart is likely to remain uncontested over the next several weeks as well. Positive buzz from upcoming titles like My Sims and Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party could bring a reshuffling of chart positions in the near future, however.
Nintendo is sneaky, but it's more silly than anything else. This is no "hot coffee."
Nintendo has released their Q4 2007 release schedule, which contains dates for the next four months and some 2008 releases on upcoming Nintendo wii and DS games.
XBOX 360 completely dominated the Top 10 most requested titles for the week. Both Wii and PS3 didn't even come close.
