From Geekpulp: "I am very disappointed with the decision that was made by EA in the USA (as are many others) to remove the online multiplayer functionality of Medal of Honor - Heroes 2 for the Wii. As you might have been aware this was the one feature that had been anticipated by thousands of Wii owners in Australia and New Zealand. The Wii does not have many games that offer a competitive online environment, so removing what was promised to be a great asset to the Wii line-up came as even more of a blow. I have a few questions that will not get answered without going directly to the source..."
People who had bought the Australian version of the game found that it was indeed missing the much-touted 32 player online mode. EA Australia has responded to the uproar.
The game was released in November last year in the US but held over until the new year for PAL to avoid the Xmas rush, but we have to ask what does EA hope to achieve by removing online from the game and how can they charge full price for a game missing its main selling point. It certainly is strange as even the manual makes mention of playing online.
Nov 21, 2007

When Medal of Honor first appeared, around the same time as Steven Spielbergs gritty Saving Private Ryan, it was an eye-opener. War had never looked so realistic on big or small screen, and having seen the dirty gore of the movie, we could fill in the blanks left by the sanitised, bloodlessness of the game.

These days, WWII is just another videogame cliché, and Medal of Honor has long since slipped into self-parody. We dont expect these things to be anything more than ...
After playing this one, it's clear that the most significant difference between a good Wii FPS and an average one is in the framerate. The silky smoothness of Metroid Prime and now Medal Of Honor makes the controls feel slick and instantaneous, giving the game a sheen of quality that belies the otherwise simplistic graphics.

Heroes 2 is tuned to perfection in terms of buttery controls and shooty satisfaction, although the AI isn't the greatest - one of our squaddies walked ...
