From Geekpulp: I am very disappointed with the decision that was made by EA in the USA (as are many others) to remove the online multiplayer functionality of Medal of Honor - Heroes 2 for the Wii. As you might have been aware this was the one feature that had been anticipated by thousands of Wii owners in Australia and New Zealand. The Wii does not have many games that offer a competitive online environment, so removing what was promised to be a great asset to the Wii line-up came as even more of a blow. I have a few questions that will not get answered without going directly to the source...

Last week Medal of Honor Heroes 2 was released for the Wii down under. People who had bought the Australian version of the game found that it was indeed missing the much-touted 32 player online mode. EA Australia has responded to the uproar.

After a 3 month delay Medal of Honor Heroes 2 arrives on Australia stores however its much touted and critically acclaimed 32 player online mode is no where to be seen. The game was released in November last year in the US but held over until the new year for PAL to avoid the Xmas rush, but we have to ask what does EA hope to achieve by removing online from the game and how can they charge full price for a game missing its main selling point. It certainly is strange as even the manual makes mention of playing online.

Game Informer have just sent out their newest edition to American stores nationwide and this months' review scores can be found below. EA Canada's upcoming Wii and PSP installment in the Medal of Honor series has gone gold, EA announced today. Medal of Honor Heroes 2 will ship to stores for both platforms November 13, a week later than anticipated. Designed from the ground up for each platform, Heroes 2 features unprecedented 32-player multiplayer on both Wii and PSP. The Wii version has support for the Zapper peripheral, and includes a separate on-rails shooter mode to highlight this feature.

According to a review put out by Matt over at IGN, Medal of Honor Heroes 2 is the best FPS yet on the Wii as it tops Metroid Prime 3 easily. Matt stated that Medal of Honor Heroes 2 beats up on Metroid Prime 3 in every way as the game has far superior game play and other elements.
