Of course, you’ll see a handful of new tracks, but we’re looking forward to re-jigs of classic course-styles such as Sherbert Land and Peach Beach. Expect Nintendo to draw inspiration from Mario Galaxy, too.
Mario Kart always makes Nintendo fans feel special, in a way that Crash (or other wannabes) never could on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. And you can bet PS3 or 360 won’t be able to match this. Even if it’s just a bunch of new tracks and power-ups, we’ll probably be in lap-time-beating heaven. If Mario Kart Wii manages to maintain the simple yet addictive model it was founded on, we won’t be able to resist.
